  1. Find the persuasive techniques used by the writer to make us agree with him. (retorical questions,  pronouns, rule of three....)
  2. What is the layout of this piece of writing? Why?
  3. What is the sequence of this text? 
  4.  Draw the line of thought you think it follows:
  5. How is every step connected to the following one?
  6. Find the  P.E.E.  (Point/Topic sentence, Explanation and Example) of every paragraph. 
  7. To what extent do you agree with the text?

Did you know Agatha Christie is the best selling writer of all times ?  Did you know she was born in Devon, England and lived through the 1st and 2nd world wars? 

Find out  a lot  about Agatha Christie's  life here.   

What is the most surprising fact in her life  for you?
What do you find most exotic?  
How many of her stories have you read or watched in films?

Ask your parents and family what they know about her. 



1. FIVE LITTLE PIGS.....THE NURSERY RHYME THAT COMES TO DETECTIVE POIROT'S MIND IN THIS STORY...

DO YOU KNOW THE RHYME?     LISTEN TO IT HERE   

Do you know what a nursery rhyme is? Don't you agree we all know them by heart?


2. When you have read the introduction and the first and second chapters you can start writing out the names of the main characters. That will help you follow the story better . You can write next to each name the relationship he/she has with the other characters and his /her main personality traits. 

3. Now you can match each character with one of the Five little pigs in the Rhyme.
